Overview
The Elementary School at Pikes Peak Christian follows a traditional style of education, also known as Back-to-Basics. Our primary curriculum is Abeka, a Christian publisher, and our program seeks to meet the individual learning styles and the spiritual and social needs of each student with a teacher-pupil ratio of one to eighteen. Students are provided a true Christian education from state or ACSI certified Christian teachers through biblically integrated, quality academics and daily age-appropriate Bible instruction and chapels.

The Experience
Our program is accredited by the National Christian Schools Association and Cognia. In addition to core classes, several supplementary programs are used as well, including Dibbles, IXL Math, Accelerated Reading, PALS Reading, and individual tutoring. Daily chapels by grade level and weekly by school level are also held.
Kindergarten
The PPCS full day Kindergarten program is an academic, child-centered program that focuses on intellectual, social, creative, and physical development. The curriculum includes phonics, reading, language development, math, science, social studies, Spanish, Bible, art, music, computer, library skills, and physical education. Kindergartners celebrate the completed year with a graduation commencement.
Grades 1st - 5th
PPCS has a traditional curriculum in the elementary grades, enriched by several special programs. Phonics is a very important aspect of the first three grades. Art, computer, music, band (for 5th grade), Spanish, Bible, Accelerated Reading, and physical education offer special opportunities for each student's style of learning. Fifth graders may participate in after-school athletics.
